On Friday April 21st, a group of approximately 100 courageous Princeton High School students marched from the school to the district’s administrative building at 25 Valley Road to voice their support for Principal Frank Chmiel and their dissatisfaction with the district leadership’s perennially elitist, if not authoritarian approach to addressing concerns raised by PPS community.
During the rally in front of the Valley Road building, a student passionately addressed the crowd and expressed their frustration, saying:
“I don’t know what’s going on, but I do know that the board is not listening to us, the board is not hearing us, but Chmiel did listen to us, Chmiel cared about us (rounds of applause from fellow students) … … They (the Princeton Board of Education) have been doing it for years, look what happened in 2020, look what happened in 2021 … … They don’t care … …”

It’s worth noting that the walkout and rally were entirely organized by the students.
